lest you think it’s all rainbows and dimples around here…

at her 2-month check-up last week, i told the pediatrician that josephine had been having some more fussy periods, that it was harder to know sometimes how to make her happy.  she’s developed a yell that she uses to let us know that she doesn’t like whatever it is we’re doing.  not that she tells us what she would like us to do.  i used the word “cranky” to describe her mood.  the pediatrician said, “we don’t like to call that cranky, we like to say the baby is ‘interacting.'”  ha.  well, here’s josephine interacting.

she’s still cute, though, huh?  even with the ugly cry going on?

it’s amazing how cute she still is, despite the “interactions.”

    i like that second one:
she’s thinking “i’m pissed off here and you’re mocking me with another darned photo op??”

she kind of looks like a pirate, too. 🙂 aye maety!

I think you should “interact” with her doctor. In the form of a swift butt kicking.
Josephine does look adorable–and she just wants to you see how well her tonsils are developing.

Uh … was her doctor a man?
    Just wondering.

  • oma Says:

her doctor’s a woman, and a pretty reasonable doctor most of the time. but yes, that “interacting” comment made me tempted to do the butt-kicking jayme suggested.

Yeah. I hear ya. Since when did “interacting” include screaming, crying, and general unhappiness? Although … I do teach junior high kids … and woah!!! The similarities!!!
