family photo fail

i’ve realized that it’s hard to take a family photo in any of the beautiful places we go because the weather’s been rather seattle-esque — rainy and chilly.  we went for a walk at discovery park on veteran’s day and, even though josephine was tucked away in the moby wrap, we thought we’d try for a family photo.  apparently the weather’s not the only reason we haven’t been able to get a good picture of the three of us.  we had a little trouble with the self-timer:

so we decided it would be better to ask a man carrying a fancy camera to take a picture of us.  we figured that he would be able to point and shoot our camera and get a good shot.  hmm…

it’s cute and all, but notice anything?  he took another shot (after ned took off a layer) just to make sure one would turn out.

again, a cute shot of us, but anything missing?  he showed us what he had taken and we asked him to take just one more and said that maybe this time he could include our child in the picture.  sadly, we got this awfulness:

good lord.  it’s blurry and over-exposed and shows off the strangly-tucked jacket i had wrapped around josephine.  but at least she’s in it!  sigh.

luckily, we had one semi-success on top of the bluff.

still can’t really see that cute baby, though.

Oh my gosh! I’ve been giggling throughout this entire collage! You are too funny. And what’s up with the pseudo-photographer who apparently forgot to get the baby in the photo?

i think you need to frame that triptych at the beginning, it’s fabulous.
