perfecting the grab

thanks to my computer-literate brother, we now have video here on josephine’s blog. welcome to the 21st century, all.

my sister very patiently and lovingly spent an entire morning coaching josephine on her grabbing techniques.  and look at this kid go!

(maeta and i are really not always silent–we just hate the way our recorded voices sound so we clammed up every time i started recording.  we do provide a little feedback and encouragement to the babe… you just won’t hear it here.)

Grace and I watched this video — so cute! Grace commented that Josephine seemed to love her bunny just like she (Grace) loved her bunny. She wisely let me know that we were watching a very cute baby with chubby cheeks and that our baby (Callie) had more hair because she (Callie) was older. Ah, the wisdom that comes with age. 🙂 On a slightly related note, do you (or does Charlie) know what I can do to make my computer stop buffering the video every five seconds? It’s really annoying!

charley the computer genius says you can hit pause on the video and let your computer load it all the way before hitting play and watching it pause-free.

i love grace’s observations. she’s quite brilliant. no surprise at all. 🙂

Thank you and thank you! 🙂 I will try the pause thing right now and hope that it works. I have this kind of trouble all of the time. Grrr. Anyway. I hope you all had a merry Christmas in the land of snow! We just had rain down here … oh, and the temperature has dropped 25 degrees since 6 o’clock this morning (which is the time our munchkins informed us that it was time to get up and see if Santa had come). The wind is unbelievable, and at the risk of incurring the wrath of others, the snow is gone, and I hate that! The rain basically washed it away! We had some snow today, but only an inch or so. The ground is exposed when it should be covered up. 🙁 Okay. Enough about the weather. I’m going to test Charlie’s advice for this video. 🙂

It worked! Charley is a computer genius! I knew that, but I’m so happy that I felt it should be mentioned again. 🙂 I love the little grunting noises that Jo makes … she concentrates so hard! Okay. Time for me to round up the hoodlums. It has been a great day here, but the wheels are falling off; it’s really time for bed.
